Remember that old  wire loop game, well somebody decided that would be a good idea for an alarm clock. This was made by a company called BigMouth Inc. Just like the old game you have to move the loop around the metal wire but this time if you lose an alarm goes off. You can buy one here:

USB Heated Cat Bed Keyboard

One problem cat owners have always had to deal with is the cat lying on the keyboard when you're trying to type stuff on the computer. As a cat owner myself I've never had this problem. For some reason my cat never decided to lie on keyboards. Anyway this keyboard connects to your computer through a usb cable (like every keyboard these days) and the more you type on another keyboard the more heated this one gets for your cat. Unfortunately you can't type with this keyboard. It's only for your cat to lie on. It was made by Meox Mix back in 2015. They never sold them in stores. The only way you could get this was to be one of the 100 people that we're selected to be sent this.

Lyfe Planter

It's been two years since my last post. Mostly because it's getting harder to find something that would be considered strange for electronics today. And because I forgot this blog existed. Anyway here is something new finally. This is called the Lyfe Planter. It's a levitating planter. For years many people have said they wanted levitating cars, computers, tvs, beds, etc. but I don't think planters were ever on that list. It was made by a company called Flyte and like most levitating objects it works by magnets.

Mycestro Wearable Mouse

It's been a long time since I wrote about strange computer mice on here. You wear this mouse on your index finger and you move the arrow by holding the side of it with your thumb.  According to the manufacturer's website the inventor (Nick Mastandrea) saw somebody struggling to use a normal computer mouse on an airplane and he came up with this idea. Wireless Mailbox Alert System

This is the Smarthome SELECT Wireless Mailbox Reminder and Mail Alert System. When somebody opens your mailbox it will alert you by lighting up or an annoying audio thing that will make your neighbours complain about you. And since it works from somebody opening your mailbox chances are you'll be alerted about mail when the wind opens your mailbox or some kid decides to just randomly open it on you to trick you. Cordless Electric Snow Blower Shovel

I know Spring just started and nobody wants to talk about winter anymore but I'm gonna talk about this anyway. During this winter I came up with the idea that we need a snow blower that is also a shovel. Unfortunately somebody else has already beat me to it and invented it and once again I didn't get to invent something. Unlike a normal snow blower you don't have to put oil or gas in this and there's no pull cords either. To make it work you just have to charge the battery. Nymi Band

In the past I've shown on here a usb device that requires you to say your password out loud or one that deletes everything if you type it in wrong. I have now found a wristband that lets you log onto your computer with your ECG (electrocardiogram). According to the site they decided to this instead of a fingerprint scanner because (as the tv show Mythbusters once proved) fingerprints can be easily copied with a piece of tape and than people can hack into your computer but your heartbeat can not be copied or replicated in some way. Auto Mee S- Screen Cleaning Robot

A couple years ago I bought an ipad and one thing people are constantly telling me to do is clean off all the fingerprints on the screen. I should probably get this. N°41 Workout Computer

One thing most people don't know about me is I can type 80 words per minute. I don't think I would be able to do that with this keyboard. Instead of a normal keyboard the letters are on separate punching bags which you have to punch to type. This was just presented at the Istanbul Design Biennial. I can't find anywhere to buy this yet so if you think it's a good idea and want this than you'll have to find it yourself.

More Than Just A Banana Piano

ebook vest

One thing I really like about the ipad is reading ebooks. If you ever felt like you want to know how the main character feels than you would probably want this. This vest connects to an ebook and it will change the lighting, sound, temperature, chest tightness and can also change the heart rate of the reader. It was created by some engineers at MIT. Unfortunately you can't buy this anywhere yet.

Edible Email Notifier

This device was made for something called Maker Faire. It rewards you with m&ms every time you open an email. Finally you can look forward to being scammed by a Nigerian Prince or some ghost girl trying to kill you because you didn't send an email to 50 people because at least you will be rewarded for it. Laser Projection Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard

Last year a viral video went around the internet showing an iphone projecting a keyboard. It turned out to be a fake. What I found is real though (even though I found it on thinkgeek). This device that looks like those flipcams they were selling a few years ago will project a keyboard onto any flat surface and it is compatible with ios 4 or later, android 4.0 or later, windows xp or later, and blackberry 10. If you like 35mm film and want to download it on your iphone, well now you can. It is called the Lomography Smartphone Film Scanner. Camera Mouse

I've never come across an occasion for this but lets say you are using a computer all of a sudden you decide you need to take your 1000th selfie pic of the day (because you're tired of taking pictures of your feet) but your camera's battery is dead or the card is full. Now you can flip that mouse upside down and take a picture with the camera that has been built into the bottom of that mouse. Remote Control Mop

It took me all year but I've finally found something that's weird enough for this site. I didn't update the site last year because I couldn't find any electronics or gadgets that people thought were strange. Well anyway, here is a cleaning tool for the lazy people. It's a remote control mop. It comes with a controller that kind of looks like a Playstation controller to control it. Bluetooth handset gloves

As a kid one of my favourite shows was Inspector Gadget and now you can buy gloves that work the same way as the top secret gadget phone. ThinkGeek is selling some gloves that come in both men and women's sizes that through a bluetooth device lets you talk into your left hand (instead of the right like on the gadget phone). Nintendo Phone

I just found out that back in 2006 Nintendo filed a patent for their own cellphone. They partnered up with Nokia to make it but it ended up getting rejected. It doesn't say what the name of it was from the looks of it all it could play were 8 bit games. Also the buttons for game playing don't look much different from the game boy.

Atari Mindlink

Back in 1983 Atari was working on a controller that could read your mind called the Atari Mindlink. It was a headband you had to wear with a couple sensors on it. Unfortunately it never worked the way it was supposed to. It wasn't actually designed to read your mind, instead the sensors would read the movement of your eyebrows. It never made it to getting sold in stores because people got headaches from trying to move their eyebrows the correct way.
